Update from our Pastoral Search Team

Greetings RGBC Family,

The Lead Pastor Search Team is up and running! The team consists of Patrick Millikin, Amy Morris, Kyle Roberson, Teri Spinnenweber, Pastor Jeremy Rhoton (acting ex officio), and Jeff Smith as lay elder and chair. We have been busy meeting weekly since the church voted to form the search team last month.

At each meeting, we dedicate a portion of time to pray through several key areas including the search team itself, our future lead pastor, and our church family here at RGBC. We also take time each meeting to review the qualifications of a pastor/elder found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. 

We are happy to report that job postings are live, and candidates have an opportunity to apply through September 1st! We will be prayerfully sorting through applicants as they come in and continue to meet weekly. Once the posting closes, we will be working diligently to narrow down candidates while seeking God’s wisdom throughout the process.   

Please continue to pray for the Lord to give us wisdom, humility, discernment, and unity as the search process continues. We also encourage folks to join in prayer before our weekly gatherings on Sunday from 9:45 to 10:10 in Room 103. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to anyone on the team.
