Youth Ministry Year Recap

Published June 18, 2026

What an amazing year we've had in youth! Averaging about thirty kiddos on Sunday nights meant lots of fun, food, fellowship, worship, and of course diving into God's word. We also enjoyed fun times together at our kickoff pool party, Bowle's Farm, our annual Christmas party, girls' craft & movie night, and our widely popular Progressive Dinner. And no one could forget our three awesome retreats! We hosted Disciple Now at RGBC this year, giving us the opportunity to share our church and our own praise & worship band with over 250 local youth. We were welcomed by brave church member hosts as we spent the weekend battling it out in the tribal games, worshiping, and focusing on how Jesus is the Greatest of All Time. In January we survived the freezing temps at Winter Meltdown, where we enjoyed worship music from the Liberty Collective band, heard inspiring messages from our speaker, Mr. Nate, and had some really great small group discussion times. Not only did we manage to win the Storm Wars again, but we had kiddos playing archery tag, paintball, dodgeball, sledding, riding horses around the arena, and zip lining in 8 degree temps! In May we had our Mini Retreat, which was anything but mini. We packed in lots of fun and games, including Margaret's epic water slide, escape rooms, and a ninja hunt that has become a tradition. We had a yummy nacho bar, worshiped with our very own youth praise band, and got to throw tennis balls at each other thanks to our guest speaker, Diana :)

This year in youth could not have happened without all of the parent support and of course our amazing youth leaders who poured into these kiddos each week! We also have a shout out to Mark and the young adults for jumping in when we needed extra hands and drivers! It is truly a joy and a privilege to be a part of this wonderful group and to see our young people growing in their faith. We can't wait to see what God does next year!
