Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

Adam Polk   -

Well, we’ve arrived!  This Sunday we will have our final message from our Revelation series as we look at Revelation 22:6-21.  And what a journey it’s been!  I’ve been greatly blessed by the overwhelming response from so many of you that you’ve been encouraged by this book and see its message more clearly.   Praise God for His work in all our hearts as we’ve given ourselves to studying the contents of this book.

As we’ve been reminded almost weekly, Revelation is a letter the Lord has given his church to “fortify our faith” and “encourage our perseverance” as God’s people.  The brokenness of this world is apparent.  The impact of sin and our enemy is all around us.  Suffering and persecution are continual realities believers face.  Yet, for the one who conquers – there is the promise of victory!  That’s the refrain of this letter over and over again.  As we journey through this life we will face suffering, persecution, trials, and tribulation yet we do so with the great promise victory!   The Lord is faithful, and He will see us through.

This Sunday will be our final message in this series so I hope each of you can be here for one last message in Revelation.  In this passage Jesus encourages us by saying, “And behold, I am coming soon.  Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophesy of this book. – Rev. 22:7” That’s exactly my prayer for us at Redeeming Grace.  May we be faithful in keeping the words of this book as we wait for our triumphant King to return.   May we continue to believe God’s promises and walk in his power as we affirm John’s closing words, “Amen.  Come, Lord Jesus!”
