The Greatest of All Time
This past weekend, Redeeming Grace hosted our first-ever DiscipleNow Weekend in our new building. DNOW 2025 featured plenty of goats–even a live goat onstage. Seven different churches participated, and we had nearly 200 students and adult volunteers in our building Friday and Saturday. Students spent two nights at host homes, played epic games, joined together in worship, and sat under the teaching of Scripture in one whirlwind weekend themed around the greatness of God.
Redeeming Grace partners with four other local Baptist churches to put on DNOW every year. But pulling it off as the host church was a much more ambitious endeavor than just participating! It took many hours of planning and dozens of volunteers from our church to make DNOW happen. I was amazed at how many people from Redeeming Grace stepped up to serve to make the event run so smoothly.
Special thanks goes to Eleanor Duke as our MC, Patrick and the worship band, Steve Bell and Chase Starkweather as the tech team, our security team, and all the volunteers who came support the games and to help reset the church Saturday evening. And, of course, we have to thank our host homes, youth leaders, and our ever-dependable youth directors, Brad and Stephanie Schmelzer.
This year’s DNOW was an incredible opportunity to point students to the Greatest of All Time: Jesus Christ. And we pray that God would continue to work in the lives of the students who participated–that He would lead them to humble themselves before Him, so that they might be exalted.
